  1. How to disable PalmCheck on my new laptop?

Laptop Model : HP Laptop 14cm-0038na
    Product Number : 6ZJ50EA#ABU

I actually have 2 laptops, the one I am typing on is the one I just received today. The reason I bought a new laptop was because I just gave up trying to find a solution on how to turn off PalmCheck on my old computer and just resorted to buying an entirely new one thinking even if the laptop came with PalmCheck enabled, it would be easier to find solutions to turn it off because HP is a more well known brand than Fujitsu which is a company based in Japan.

However, I think it's clear to say I have not managed to find an easy solution, or any solution. I'm pretty sure this won't be solved any time soon, because I have spent years looking for solutions on both of my laptops. The thing is, I found a solution on my old laptop a few years ago and I posted it on redd.it, but I had to delete the account for personal reasons and the solution went with it, and I can't remember it. Please don't respond telling me to try look for it because I've tried, and I really want to emphasise that with all the solutions.

Firstly, when I go to Touchpad and/or Mouse settings, and I go to Hardware, it says it is an ELAN Touchpad, but the Type it is listed as is Mouse. So is it a mouse or a touchpad or? Secondly, there is no 5th tab in Touchpad/Mouse settings. It's just Buttons, Pointers, Pointer Options and Hardware as I said. Thirdly, as you could probably tell, there is no way of me turning off PalmCheck simply in the Control Panel for neither Mouse or Touchpad controls. Fourthly, the Regedit solution does not work for me as I do not have the Synaptics folder for some reason. Once again I want to emphasise that I am almost certain that I did do it exactly as told, so please do not send me to an outdated video or link or something I have already stated has not worked for me.

I read another article where someone said after hours of talking with Customer Support they found out their laptop was just made without the ability to turn PalmCheck off, which is what I would really dread. I would hate that I spent so much money on this laptop only to never use it because as of right now, not only is this laptop significantly slower, smaller, more confusing in general and uncomfortable to use, I have all my files right there on my old laptop, so why not just go back to it?

So I'm really just trying to find a solution as best as I can so I don't have to be guilty with myself for the next year or so for letting hundreds of pounds go down the drain. When I was 12 I bought an electric toothbrush for £35 and I never used it and I felt so angry at myself for months for not liking it.

If you feel that I should clarify anything in particular or send an image of something, please do let me know ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  3. Disabling Palmcheck

So I just reset my PC a few days ago and it changed everything to default. When trying to disable Palmcheck after the reset, I wasn't able to actually find where to disable it. I tried doing it the same way I did it before, which is going to Mouse properties
and going to device settings, however the Device settings didn't show up in mouse properties and I haven't been able to find any other way to disable Palmcheck and everything online tells me to do it the way I knew how, but I can't do it because the Device
settings tab isn't there. Please help How to disable PalmCheck on my new laptop? :(

How to disable PalmCheck on my new laptop?

    PalmCheck won't disable

I just recently got the Windows 10 update from Windows 8, and found that changing my settings doesn't seem to work like it should.

The best example of this that I can find is that even when I disable PalmCheck in this window:

and save the settings, I still won't be able to move the mouse while typing at all. Does anyone else have problems with this and/or know how to fix it?
