    How to disable path lenght limit


    Hi! How can I disable the error Destination Path Too Long on Windows 11 and allow longer paths? I did try to use Enable Win32 long paths in group policy and make sure that in regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\LongPathsEnabled is set to 1, but even after restarting my PC I get this error. I can't simply rename the files/folder to make them shorter as they are files for a developing project programming.

    Hello everyone,

    I have Windows 10 Home edition (Version 20H2) and I need to remove the maximum path lenght limitation.

    How can I do it?

    I have found many tutorials about how to do it on Windows 10 (Pro) but it doesn't work for the Home version.

    This error appears when the name of the file/path names exceeds the 260 character limit . We suggest changing the name of the file/path as an initial troubleshooting in resolving the issue.
