  1. How to disable right click option "delete this icon" on Windows 11 bluetooth System tray icon

Hello, Every time I start my PC I have to enable my bluetooth headphones at the bluetooth devices settings.I like double pressing the bluetooth System tray icon as a shortcut. Only problen I have is that if press it a bit to slow it often deletes the button it self because the closest button to press there is: "delete this icon". I know how to get it back, that not my question. My question is how to disable this "delete this icon" option. I use the dutch langues that why the picture is not in english.Kind regards,Frank Vermeulen

  2. Tray icon disappears

I've been experiencing since the installation of Windows XP SP2 on multiple machines with the ATITool Tray Icon disappearing upon load at system startup. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Enabling or Disabling the "Hide Inactive (tray) Icons" WinXP menu option doesn't have any effect. The only way to open ATITool after it has loaded is to go through the start menu to open it again. I have "minimize on close" selected in ATITool. When closing ATITool, you see it make the motions of minimizing to the tray area but no icon is displayed. Any ideas?

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand you concern. We appreciate the time and effort that you have taken to work on the issue to get the Bluetooth icon on system tray/ notification area. We would suggest to you try following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1 : Check for the Bluetooth icon in system tray.

    1. Go to Settings > Devices.

    2. Click on Bluetooth and turn on the toggle switch on the right pane.

    3. Then click on up-arrow of system tray icon and check.

If the Bluetooth icon is still missing, it is more likely that the system tray icon of Bluetooth has been disabled. Please proceed to
Method 2 to enable the same.

Method 2: Enable system tray icon for Bluetooth.

    1. Go to Settings > Devices.

    2. Click on Bluetooth on the left pane.

    3. Turn on the toggle switch for Bluetooth.

    4. Then click on More Bluetooth options link.

    5. Under Options tab, check the box for Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area.

    6. Then click on Apply > OK and check for the icon.

    Regards,

  4. How to disable right click option "delete this icon" on Windows 11 bluetooth System tray icon

I want the bluetooth icon in my system tray _all the time_, not just when bluetooth is on

Turning bluetooth off is not too hard; click on the bluetooth icon in the system tray to get the settings. But turning it on is hard; search for bluetooth, find settings, enable bluetooth...

So I want the bluetooth icon in my system tray _all the time_, not just when bluetooth is on. That way I can turn it on and off manually at will.

How can I keep the icon in the system tray when bluetooth is _off_?

As a wish list item, I would also like an 'enable/disable bluetooth' in the system tray icon's menu to make that a one-click opertation.
