Windows 11 network share invalid credentials

I added my first windows 11 machine to my network. Still getting used to it. However, Network File Sharing isn't working. I have searched and found these list of 10+ things to try. No luck. I can share between 2 Windows 10 machines, that works not so between 10 and 11. Using the same Microsoft account (admin) on both machines. Was hoping to move some major data from old machine. The login screen complains invalid user ID or password before you enter anything. I can login to the account on ms site so.i know user and password are correct. I can login between windows 10.machines.

I'm not sure why being able to share isn't simple. It is basic function. The list seems to imply it is disabled by default and you need to start stuff. It even suggests disabling password seems really insecure.

    What should I do?

    Good LAN party games?

Most of my suggestions have already been listed.

However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.

Any way to disable the Share sidebar?

    Hi,

Please be informed that the Share Charm is a Windows in-built feature and this feature cannot be disabled.

However, I suggest that you provide your suggestions and feedbacks in the dedicated Feedback App. Follow these steps to provide suggestions in Windows Feedback App.

At any time, select Start, and then type
Windows Feedback to send us your opinions and suggestions.
Windows Feedback is only available if you have
Diagnostic and usage data set to
Full (Full is the recommended setting).

To change the Diagnostic and usage data setting, go to
Start , then select Settings > Privacy > Feedback & diagnostics, and then, under
Diagnostic and usage data, select an option.

Let us know if you need further assistance on Windows in future, we will be glad to help you.
