    How to disable the touch from the settings


    Hello all. I had an issue with my asus transformer book t100. The display is intact but there is a crack on the outer screen which makes it seem like the touch screen is being put to constant use. I will appreciate any help on how I can disable the touch from the settings. Thanks

    Hi Roy,

    Thank you for responding.

    This issue might be due to drivers which are to be updated.



    I suggest you to update the drivers for touch feature in Device Manager:

    Steps:

    • Right click on Windows key from the desktop and click on
      Device Manager.
    • Expand Human Interface Devices, right click on the
      Touch screen driver and select Update Driver Software.


    Also, I suggest you to contact the device manufacturer website and try to update the chipset drivers as well.

    touch is not disabling

    • From where exactly ae you trying to disable the touchscreen?
    • Have you installed all pending Windows updates?

    Follow the steps given below and check if you are able to disable it:

    1. Press Windows Key +X from your keyboard.

    2. Select Device manager and open it.

    3. Then, right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and from the list of options displayed, select ‘Disable’

    4. Instantly, a confirmation pop-up will appear on your device screen, requesting you to confirm the decision.
    Disabling this device will cause it to stop functioning. Do you really want to disable it? Click ‘Yes.’
