Windows 10: How to Disable the Windows 10 UI Support for Controllers

I have a DualShock 4 controller and use DS4Windows with a couple of custom profiles to get the controller to work with Windows not just games and I've found that Windows 10 now has built in support for selecting elements in UWP apps using the controller.

For example, if I open the Start Menu and then use the D-Pad buttons, the selection moves around the tiles and entries in the menu, likewise for the Settings app, but like all things Microsoft, it's lacking.

There is no support for actually opening the Start Menu or closing apps, I can open File Explorer for example and it doesn't move around the selection from the controller. With my DS4Windows profiles, I can do just this and even switch profiles using Share + PS Button, but Windows has this built-in support and I'd like to disable that so that I can continue to use the more vibrant DS4Windows profiles I have set up, that allow me to move the mouse around with touch pad or analog sticks, left and right click using the X and O buttons respectively and even middle click using the Triangle button.

Anyone know how to do this?

How to disable UI animation in Windows 10 Mobile

How can I disable UI animations (like selecting an app from a list, launching an app etc.) in Windows 10 Mobile (10186.11)?

On desktop SKUs of Windows 10, it is in the System control panel - Advanced - Performance, and in the Settings app - Ease of Access - Other options. However, I could not find that setting in Windows 10 Mobile.

Is there a way how to turn it off? My eyes are not happy of these animations (disturbing, needs to constantly refocusing etc.).

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
