  Right click on the task bar.

  Go to Cortana.

  Click on show search box.
  

Now check if you are able to find search box.

Windows critical update for 11/5/2019 ruined my bluetooth

I'm Stefano an Independent Advisor here to help you. If you think the problem Is with this update, then you can Uninstall It following this procedure:

Go to Start, enter View Installed Updates in the Search Windows box, and then press Enter.

In the list of updates, locate and then select the update done on 11/5/2019, and then select Uninstall.

Are you meaning that once you type in Search box on IE 11, you see Search Suggestions appear?

Do you see the option to Turn Off Search Suggestions at the bottom of the list?
