  2. How to disable a specific keyboard shortcut

    Hi Pedro,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand how you feel about the situation. We're sorry for the trouble.

Ideally disabling specific shortcut key is not possible. You can disable the whole Windows+ shortcut keys.

    To do so:

    • Type regedit in RUN or Start search box and press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor.

    • Now go to following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    3. In right-side pane, create a new DWORD NoWinKeys and set its value to 1.

    4. Close Registry Editor and restart your system. After reboot the WIN+ hotkeys will be turned off in your system.

PS: To re-enable WIN+ hotkeys in future, delete the DWORD
    NoWinKeys created in step 3.

    Registry disclaimer

To do so: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For
added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft

    Desktop Shortcut Icons

    Hi Mik-Dav,

The desktop shortcut created for a specific website should bear the website's actual logo. With what you've experienced, there could be something wrong with how the shortcut was created.

If you've created the shortcut by selecting Create shortcut, then we suggest that you try the other way, that is by dragging the website icon that appears in the address bar to your desktop. Follow these steps:

    • Using Internet Explorer, access a website.
    • Once the website opens, you will see its icon in the address bar.
    • Click and drag the icon on your desktop.

The website shortcut bearing its actual logo should now be saved on your desktop.

Let us know if you need further help.

    Regards.
