Windows 10: how to display raw ID3D11Texture2D using Direct3D 11?

i use ffmpeg and Direct3D 11 for decoding task and the frame i get is in type of ID3D11Texture2D and i want to display it directly without making CPU overhead so i decided to use DirectX API itself for displaying it but i dont know how to do

Save RAW drive - Don't want data


Open Admin command prompt, then type:

1. diskpart
2. list disk ======> Take note of disk # of the RAW drive
3. select disk # ======> is the number in step 2
4. clean
5. exit

Open Disk Management and initialize it, Create Simple, format.

 

How to convert RAW partition to NTFS partition.

Thanks for your reply. Apparently the convert drive to NTFS doesn't work when the drive is RAW. After following your instructions in step 2 I get message "convert is not available for RAW drives.

Any suggestions?

 

Direct3D application in multi display full screen mode fails on Windows 10

We are developing an application using Direct3d 9. It runs in full screen mode and utilizes multiple displays if you have them connected to your computer. This application works fine on Windows 7, but fails on Windows 10.

I have created a simple test application that fails in a similar way. If I run it in full screen mode but on one display only, then it works. But if I switch to running on multiple displays, then it fails.

The code that fails is when it's trying to create the multi-head Direct3d device. The function call looks like this:

HRESULT res = g_pD3D->CreateDevice(

D3DADAPTER_DEFAULT, D3DDEVTYPE_HAL, mainWin,

D3DCREATE_HARDWARE_VERTEXPROCESSING | D3DCREATE_ADAPTERGROUP_DEVICE,

d3dpp, &g_pd3dDevice

);

The Direct3d device (g_pd3dDevice) becomes NULL and the function returns D3DERR_INVALIDCALL. This code works fine, and has done so for a long time, in Windows 7.

I have tried creating a similar test app using Direct3d 11, and though it seems to handle multiple displays in a very different way to version 9, it also fails in a similar matter.

It seems to me that support for full screen mode with multiple displays is dropped in Windows 10. Does anyone have any insight in this?
