    How to do I fix the windows update when I can't open any program.


    The newest update to windows just basically bricked my pc. I can no longer launch any programs including the task manager or the start menu. Any thing that should load when I start up fails to load as well. I'm using a radeon graphics card.

    Thats the first step *Smile How to do I fix the windows update when I can't open any program. :)

    That mean you do not have PB installed or it didn't install correctly. Try step one in the guide. Post back with results.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    How to do I fix the windows update when I can't open any program.

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
