Windows 10: How To Down Grade to Win 8.1 After Forced Upgrade by Microsoft & PC Will Not Boot

My desktop PC was running Win 8.1 and the hardware does not meet the standards for Win 10. Over night there was a forced upgrade by Microsoft to Win 10. Now my computer will not boot up. How can I downgrade back to Win 8.1 when my system will not boot to take advantage of the rollback option? The system came with Win 8.1 pre-installed and I am not sure where my backup disks are. I have many applications and data files I need to preserve.

is hardware OK (Win 7) for upgrade to windows 10

I think in one of the other PC with win 7 or win 8.1 I run media creators tools and in some step prompt/found graphics card not supported... for win 10. I didn't found alone reading specs of win 10, but the tool says me... after changed graphics card the tool said all OK and continued OK with upgrade... That I ask to reach this step in this current PC - win 7 - must be all OK for the upgrade? Or must continue to upgrade to show this?

up-grade to windows 8.1 from windows 8 OEM version

My PC is running Windows 8 single language (OEM) version from Hp. I wish to upgrade it to Win 8.1. I have Update KB2871389 installed automatically. But I don't find
KB2917499 installed. I am also unable to get this from Window stores.

I am afraid , I may not be able to upgrade it successfully. Kindly specifically guide me, step wise so that I will not face any problem in up grading it.
