    How to download Flight Simulator without going through the Store app?


    Hello. I've purchased the premium deluxe version of Flight Simulator, but cannot download it. When I attempt to download through Bing, I get a message stating I have no devices associated with my account. When I attempt to download through Chrome, I get an 0x80080005 error. I have been online searching for solutions only to have absolutely no success. Is there a way to download the software that I have purchased, other than through the Microsoft Store? If not, can you provide a solution to this problem? So far, I have:


    run Windows Update Troubleshooter

    deleted all manually installed anti virus software products

    run SFC/scannow - this reported it repaired some files.

    run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    run SFC/scannow again

    run Windows Update Troubleshooter again


    I've tried downloading through the Microsoft Store app, through Bing, and through Chrome with no success. Help would be most appreciated.

    Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

    Hi Rahul,



    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



    I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

    Refer the steps below to uninstall.

    • Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
    • Open programs and features.
    • In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
      Remove.


    Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



    Reinstall the Flight Simulator.



    Please reply to us if the issue still persist.

    Can't download Flight Simulator X SP2 English

    Where did you download it?

    It seems like you are downloading Service Pack 2 for Flight Simulator instead of actual game.

    You will need to install Flight Simulator first and then install its service pack.

    Look for Flight Simulator in Microsoft Store.
