Windows 10: How to download windows 10 using sd card space.

So I have heard that windows 11 uses more things on your computer and every time Igo on task manager I see it using 100% of my cpu or other things like that and just want to switch to windows 10. So I've tried to switch to windows 11 to windows 10 but slight problem. I dont have enough storage on my main disk to download windows 10 which shown in my ss attached to this text but I have way more than enough storage on my 128 gb sd card to download windows 10 on my laptop. I just dont know how to do it.

Windows 10 not reading SD Cards

Thank You for replying with the status of this issue.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Please check your Windows updates (including optional updates).

• 
  At the Start screen, type
  Windows Update.
  
• 
  Select Check for Update.
  
• 
  Download and Install the latest Windows Updates.
  
  Method 2: Check in compatibility mode.
  
  Download the drivers from manufacture's website for Windows 10, if there no drivers available for Windows 10, download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and try installing it in compatibility
  mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.
  
  Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.
  

• 
  Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• 
  Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
  
• 
  Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
  

Method 3:

Please check if the Micro SD card is listed in disk management.

• Press Windows key + X
• Click on disk management
• Check if the Micro SD card is listed

Savin to and SD card from Account Right in Windows 10

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

• Are you referring to File History backup to your SD card?
• What is the format of your SD card is it FAT32 EX FAT or NTFS?
• What is total Space of the SD card?

This issue might occur if the SD card might not have enough space to save the backup files and also the format of the SD card. I suggest you to follow the steps below to change format of the SD card to NTFS format and check if you can back up.

• Open File Explore by clicking on Start button
  and select This PC.
• Right Click on SD card and hoover mouse point on Format
  and Select Format.
• Under File System Select NTFS and follow the steps below to add authentic User permission.

Right click the NTFS formatted SD card and select Properties then the Security Tab, under Group or User name click the Edit button then Add and
enter Authenticated User followed by Check Names, OK etc.

Then create a folder, such as SD-Documents, and right click this folder and select Include in library > Documents or what ever library you want the folder added to.

windows 10 oes not acknowledge sd card

Hi,

To get more clear picture of the issue, let us know:

• Are you using your SD card in a phone or computer?
• If it is on phone, then which Build of Windows 10 Insider Preview are you using?

I would suggest you to check the SD card with any other device to make sure there is not any corruption with the SD card.
