Sorry to jump into this thread rather late but if you want to know how to share pictures from the W10 photo app it is really simple.

Just select the images you want to send and then click the share button (circled in red):

    Attachment 61898

This will then open up the share side panel and you can select mail. The images will be automatically attached to an email ready for you to send.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you Phil, but I tried it a long time ago and didn't work for me - It gives you to choose between my server or Outlook. I don't have the latter so chose RCN, but I have 4 accounts with them and there was no provision there to change from the account appearing there, to the one I wanted. But thanks again, I always appreciate a lot any ideas in computers. *Smile

How to email pictures from W10 photo app?

Thank you David, I'll delete it after I've sent my letter with the attachments. It'll take me a while because I have to undo all the wrong attempts I had done before your kind help. Also have to chase from one Pictures folder to the other where (for a reason I don't know) all my pictures are split in them. I now understand how to do it, thanks to you, but it will take a little longer than I thought. And I'll report to you what I did. *Smile

Your welcome! I just was not sure whether you had tried it. I find the W10 apps sometimes work well if you have a simple default setup such as Microsoft imagine most users have. Of course, the reality is that people are different and like to do things their own way, which is good in my opinion. My W10 mail happens to default to the one I use the most so it works for me and integrates well with the other W10 apps. I suspect that this is not the case for many people. David has given a good workaround as he usually does!

Spend sometime, put all photos into one folder. That will make things easy in the future.

As to sending attachment, what I described to you is the "traditional" method that never fails anyone.
It does not take long. You are just not used to it, that's all.

Thank you, yes, I'm very grateful to David. Problem with us, newbies is that sometimes when we try to do some things and they don't come out properly or just don't come out, many times we just don't know how to do it and rather than do something and mess up the computer, we opt for just letting it go. But I thank you for your idea and as soon as I have the time I'll try to default to my favorite address. But after doing this, what if for certain mails I need to use the other address? Never mind, I've taken enough of your and David's time. I'll try to look into it more. *Smile

How to email pictures from W10 photo app?

I do have them into various individual folders by some categories, but while some of these folders are originally under the Pictures folder, when I got W10 - miraculously - all the new folders went into another Pictures folder right under the "OneDrive". So I decided to leave in OneDrive all individual folders of one category, and all the others leave them on the other regular Pictures folders. As you can see I have some complicated things here... lol!

    Regarding sending attachments.

Test drive it by sending an attachment to yourself.
If it works, try sending 2 or more photos as attachments.
Just to get used to the procedures.

It's a good idea that I'll be sure to do...after I send this letter with the attachments. Another reason for taking me long is that I must arrange the photos by certain categories rather than the alphabet which the system insists on doing, also trying to change, from the numbers the photos get, to my own phrases, and a few other details, but I'm advancing, slowly though... lol!

Okay, I was able to do all those little details before sending and I put them into a folder. I made the first attachment of 4 items nicely. I highlighted them in the Pictures folder, I opened the letter, double clicked on the paperclip icon, and attachment done!

But, when I did the same thing for another folder with 9 items to go on the same email, when clicking on the paperclip icon it took me to the 4 items that were already there instead of to the 9 items. So I tried deleting the 4 item attachment and repeated the process for the 9 items...with the same result. Too many items maybe? I wonder what I did wrong....*Confused

    I'll keep trying...

When you click the paper clip the 2nd time, it takes you back to the folder with 4 photos already attached.
On the lefts side is what we call navigation pane where you see Desktop, Pictures, Documents, Downloads etc etc etc.
From the navigation pane, go to the folder with 9 photos > select the 9 photos > click Open > 9 more photos are attached.

*** There is no need to double click the paper clip ****
    Use these steps...............
    1. Open a new email
    2. click the paper clip
    3. navigate to the folder
    4. select photos
    5. at the bottom, click Open.
    Photos are attached.

  13. How to email pictures from W10 photo app?

Sending pictures from a photo app is Apple mentality dumbing down. Create an email, attach pictures, videos, sound files, and the kitchen sink. Send. Job done.

Oh David, they did open but as Album, not as Gallery. Where it says "Open as Gallery" is greyed out. Meantime I thought I'd attach again the 4 item folder, but now this one won't work either. I will restart the computer and try again (I hope I didn't catch one of those dreadful viruses I hear are lurking around.....)
