    I have an ASUS Vivobook S15 S530FA i-78565U CPU it has a 1.99GHz with turbo boost up to 4.6GHz I can't get it to go any higher than 1.99GHz . Is there some way I can enable turbo frequency?

    This issue may occur if the turbo tax 2015
    is corrupt.

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to perform a clean boot and check. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

    Warning:

    1. Applies to Windows 10.

    2. After clean boot troubleshooting steps, refer to the section "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot" in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup

    Method 2:

    If the issue persists, you may have to uninstall and re-install the
    turbo tax 2015. Check if it helps.

    To uninstall the software follow these steps:


    • Right-click on
      Start Button and click on Programs and Features.

    • Right-click on the
      turbo tax 2015 and click on Uninstall.
    Note: Make sure you have the installation media for
    turbo tax 2015 before uninstalling it.

    Modern processors manage themselves and there is little to be gained from changing settings in Windows, in fact you can do more harm than good.

    Modern processors run at a low frequency when your system is not doing much and ramp up their frequency when required by processor intensive tasks, so a processor rated at 2.3Ghz, when at rest will run at about 0.78Ghz and when requires may boost up to 3.2Ghz.
    This is managed by Intel software (firmware) not Windows Settings . . .

    So updated the BIOS, thank you very much brandon. Now i enabled the turbo core, but the speed of the cpu is still running at 2.8ghz, same as before. Any suggestions?
