How to enable "use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration"

    Dear,

My company have lot of PC in many location, we want apply 1 setting in Windows,
By default it is not enabled / not tick

How to enable "use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration" [IMG]

In the Group Policy window please navigate to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates ->
Network -> DNS Client and open Register DNS records with connection-specific DNS suffix,
Set Enabled also cannot enable "use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration"

As i know we can do it in register in each PC 1 by 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces"NetworkInterfaceID" \RegisterAdapterName and the value set to 1

But i cannot collect all PC "NetworkInterfaceID" , is it possible to do this in more intelligent / more wisdom
Like any command / vb / powershell ?

    1. May i know how can we mass enable "use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration" in all PC
    2. Is it possible to enable this setting in image before computer connect to network ?

    Thank you very much
    Silver Fox

    :)

Win 10: DNS resolution of remote network via VPN connection not working

Set the DNS suffix of the VPN connection to the of the remote network. In my case it was "lan". dc.office.lan is my domain controller. End of story.

NO LONGER ABLE TO CONNECT TO AN IP

    my env. - Window 10 Pro - ver. 1607 - build 14393.187

I have been connecting to Teradata under VMWare for several years using IP - 192.168.74.128.

As of today following a series of Windows updates I am no longer able to connect to this IP.

I can logon to the Unix machine and ping this IP so the issue appears to be on the Windows side.

Following is the output of IPCONFIG /ALL. Does anyone have an idea how I can restore the IP ?

    thanks Brian

How to enable "use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration"

You do not need to enable those two, because they are used for Domains. Leave unchecked.
