Windows 10: How to enter numbers in my phone's contacts list?

Should I always place a "1" in front of out-of-state numbers? What about in-state numbers?I also wonder about parentheses and dashes. Would just entering 18001234567 be a problem? Or should it be: 1-800-123-4567?Does it even matter?

Contact names in contact list

I have a list of contacts in my outlook.live account that are listed in numerical order by office number, e.g. “101 Larry” “Smith” is the first and last name for Larry Smith in office 101. This method has always resulted in a perfectly numerically ordered contact list, until recently. Now, when I add Larry to my contact list, Outlook only shows Larry’s email address, no name, no office number. Any help / suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. I’ve tried using customer support before, not looking forward to that ordeal again.

Is it possible to add a custom label/field?

 

"Your Phone" contacts

Hi

When I use the phone app on My PC and enter the first letter of the contact I wish to send a message too
It will show the name list of the contacts I wish to send it too - the names from my mobile phone contact list
And then select the name to send message too
