    How to expand usable ram?


    I've been asking a lot of questions this week but alright, I have 8 GB installed ram and I always notice my pc using 80% ram. I've checked specifications and shown 5.75 GB usable. How do I make use of those, even just half of the usable ram would be fine.

    I have 16GB RAM but it indicates only 1.98GB usable. How do I make all 16 usable?

    Hi Kyle,

    Do you have on-board graphics on your System - that generally accounts for the rest of your RAM as it is set aside by Windows . ..

    This is normal, if you do upgrade your RAM, Windows will see the extra RAM and may even set aside more, depending on your graphics . . .

    Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

    Expand the Display Adapters section

    What display device(s) do you see listed there?

    How to expand usable ram?

    Usable RAM

    The RAM is recognized. In BIOS it shows exact amount installed, Windows also shows exact amount installed but limits usable RAM.
