how to extend 3 monitorsnot including the laptop screen using a usb-c with 4 hdmi ports?

Hi, I have three monitors that I am trying to extend. I've done this before in the past, however all three monitors were extended horizontally across1,2,3. I have two monitors vertically stacked and the third monitor is placed to the left of these two stacked monitors, however this third monitor is rotated to where the graphics can be displayed in portrait mode/setting. I cannot get the the bottom stacked monitor to display. I ensured all cables were connected from the monitor to the USB-c. Thanks for the Assistance!!!!!

    :)

Problem extending Surface Laptop 4 to dual-displays.

Hello I am trying to extend the display on my Surface Laptop 4 to two external monitors (Lenovo Thinkvision / Dell P2417H).

I am using a Port Connect Professional Docking Type C Travel 2 X 4K. I am using HDMI (inserted into monitors) to DP (inserted into dock) cables to connect between dock / monitor. The dock connects to my Surface Laptop 4 via USB-C.

When 1 monitor is connected, it recognises the input but bugs out my computer for 15 or so seconds before reverting to previous settings. In this time, I cannot click anything on my laptop and the external monitor is blank. After 15 seconds, if I do Windows + P and select extend, the display is extended and works as normal.

When 2 monitors are connected, on display settings the screens 1 and 2 are merged into a rectangular box and are both visible, and screen 3 is in it's separate box and not visible. Under the Multiple Displays options, screen 3 is not listed as an option to extend or duplicated or 'show only' on. Under advanced display settings, it is listed as an option but I just cant get any ouput from it.

I don't have this issue when using the normal USB docking system in my workplace - it simply extends to both with no issues.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    USB-C to Display port

Do all USB-C ports support display port? I am thinking of picking up a cheap laptop but want to be able to connect two additional displays if needed. The laptop has an HDMI and a USB-C Gen 1. Ace Aspire R R5. thanks

    HDMI Disable

Thanks Greg for you quick reply!

I've update the drivers on my Windows. I use the same cable with no issues with the following configurations:

    • Laptop with no USB-C Hub. connected through laptop hdmi port to monitor.
    • Laptop with Anker HUB 7 in 1 USB-C connected throught laptop hdmi port to monitor
    • Laptop with Anker HUB 7 in 1 USB-C connected throught USB-C hub hdmi port to monitor
    • Laptop with Flepow 12 in 1 USB-C connected throught USB-C hub hdmi port to monitor
After that test I can prove that

The HDMI cable works and my monitor works. The only enviroment when my monitor appear have not signal is when the USB-C Hub is connected but only the Flepow.

If I disconnect the Flepow from my laptop and the laptop is connected to my monitor I have extended view in both monitor (Dell SP2309W and laptop builtin) after that I connect the Flepow extended vision works but if I restart the laptop with hub-c connected
I the laptop hdmi port do not send signal.

I send mail to flepow support but do not receive information. I think that is soming with configuration. :S

    Thanks!
