  1. How to Extend the Windows partition of a Dynamic UEFI/GPT drive?

    Hi,

Have spent all day trying to figure this out - any help would be appreciated.

How do I extend C: to use some or all of the 237GB unallocated space?

I don't need a dynamic drive - basic would be fine if that's an option but I cant find a way of converting it without reinstalling windows.

I have tried Disk Manager - options greyed out due to recovery partition being in the middle

Tried DiskPart, with Override, but it wont let me delete the Recovery I have ISO image.

Have tried all the "free" Partition Manager I can find and none will do this unless you pay for an upgrade to premium.

I don't want to reinstall windows - my setup is extremely complicated Astrophotography and it would take me a week to reload and configure software - then another two weeks to get it all working.

    Thanks

    :)

Convert Windows 10 MBR to GPT (UEFI)?

In reviewing my Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) system I noted that the Secure Boot Status is showing as "unsupported". Investigating further, it appears either the GPT partition for booting using UEFI (is Secure Boot) has become corrupt or my installation was
never installed for Secure Boot. My Windows 10 install is an auto-upgrade from a Windows 8.1 install.

Is there a way to convert the MBR to GPT without doing a fresh install? I do have a USB recovery drive built at a point I believe I had indications Windows was booting from a GPT (UEFI) partition. In fact, the USB recovery drive shows as being a UEFI drive.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated!

    Thanks!

How to install Windows 7 on a 4TB hard drive? UEFI?

That's correct. To install Windows 7 to a 4 Tb partition you have to have UEFI. You can set a partition of 2tb then after you install Windows you can make the second partition active as a separate drive. Using the entire space If you install Windows to another drive you can set the whole drive as active. You still should use GPT

  4. How to Extend the Windows partition of a Dynamic UEFI/GPT drive?

Windows 10 installation on 4tb hdd on GPT partition with UEFI mode system.

    Hi Troy,

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

This issue might occur if Windows 10 is not correctly in GPT partition with UEFI mode.

I suggest you to refer to the suggestion provided in the Microsoft Help Article and try to install Windows 10 in GPT partition. Check if it helps.

Windows Setup: Installing using the MBR or GPT partition style

Please get back to us with an update on issue with missing hard drive space of 2 TB in the hard disk after installing Windows 10, we will be happy to help.

    Thank you.
