    How to factory reset Alcatel IDOL 4S without PIN? Stuck on the lightning flash picture.


    After rebooting I press the volume up and get to where it shows a lightning flash and circular gear icon presumably for settings . But it just stays on the screen. I tried the volume up -> down -> power -> down sequence to no avail. Is it possible this phone does not allow itself to be reset?
