Windows 10: How to find account associated with a Bitlocker Recovery Key

My daughter's very old ThinkPad died likely a motherboard issue, and so I bought her a new one. The old PC won't start at all, so I removed the NVMe drive and popped it into an enclosure so that we could recover her files.Unfortunately, it is asking for a Microsoft Bitlocker Recovery Key.She has no memory of ever getting a key. She logged into her Microsoft account, and there are no devices with Bitlocker Keys associated with her account. I checked my own Microsoft account. Same thing. We guessed that it might have been associated with her old university account, so we contacted the univers

3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

No, no other accounts.

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?

Hi. Trying to solve Bitlocker Recovery Key problem caused by KB5012170

I did not enable Bitlocker, but this update has caused this issue

I cannot remember , what account I used to setup the computer.

On the Screen , it is giving me a Recovery ID Key

And a Drive Label

My assumption is that this information must be stored somewhere on Microsoft's site

Anybody got any idea who I can contact to help with this
