Windows 10: how to find exclusions list for virus and threat protection blocking my program

virus and threat protection is blocking my program. I can't find the exclusions list

ETD_GetSMART.exe is HP Software and it is safe, that software is designed to check your hard drive for imminent failure and warn you

You can add that to the list of safe files in Controlled Folder Access to get rid of this warning

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add an app to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent them from being blocked

ETD_GetSMART.exe is located in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Framework\Resources\HPActiveHealth\Executable Agent Data\_Shared\DiskCheck\

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently

If Windows Defender is blocking access to a particular file or folder, it may have detected the file or folder as malicious. You can stop Windows Defender Antivirus from alerting you or blocking the program by adding the file to the exclusions list. To do
this:

• Open Windows Defender Security Center, and then select
  Virus & threat protection>Virus & threat protection settings > Add or remove exclusions.
  
• Under Add an exclusion, select the files, folders, file types, or process. The exclusion will apply to sub-folders within a folder as well.
