Windows 10: How to find password of my Windows account?

I've recently tried to create a new account on my laptop, however, I can't do it until I will type in my password for old one. Problem is, I haven't used this old account for a while, so I forgot password for it. I don't use password to login, I'm always automatically logged in without typing it. I'm in a bit of situation here - I need password to proceed with operation, but I don't remember it. Is there any way I can find my password on my computer or any way I can bypass this? Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

Long boot time and passwords missing

The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile
