Windows 10: How to find the FPP key installed on Windows 10 / 11 Laptop or Desktop

Hi,I am an IT Admin at an Organisation and trying to manage the Software inventory. We have some assembled desktops where we had installed windows and activated later using the FPP key.Issue is that we could not keep track of Windows installations.How can I get back the original keys used for Windows installations on the Assembled systems or Laptops.Please help me with this.

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

 

How to transfer Windows 10 Home FPP from my laptop to my new desktop?

This laptop is very old, too old that some laptops sold on that time still didn't come with free Windows OEM. I had to buy Windows 10 Home FPP separately. It came with a box with CD inside. However, I cannot find it. How can I look for the product key from my old laptop?

Now I build a new desktop PC, but the shop I ordered already installed Windows 11 Pro for me.(not activate yet). I heard you can move the FPP license to another PC. But how can I do that? I don't mind to use Windows 11 Home or even Windows 10 Home on my new desktop. Do I need to uninstall Windows 11 Pro and then reinstall with Windows 11 Home before the transfer process?

As I know I have to deactivate it from my old laptop, but do you have some instructions for that. Will it completely delete all data from my old laptop? or will the laptop stay like non-activated Windows 10?
