Windows 10: How to fix a blank blue screen that appears on Windows 10 launch before log-in screen?

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro on my Dell Inspiron laptop by downloading the files from Microsoft. I already had the licensure for Win 10 from Dell when I purchased this laptop.


During the Windows 10 launch, after the windows starts but before the screen with the opening background image and before getting to the screen where one enters the password, the computer stops and goes to a blank blue screen. It stays there for a 3-4 seconds before moving to screen which has the time and date.


Has anyone experienced this and do you know what is causing this and how to fix it?

Windows 10 blank screen after boot-up....

Anyone have any luck with this ? Windows appears to boot normally until the screen with the little dots on it. Then it goes black , stays that way for a minute and finally logs on. I`ve already googled this and all the answers boil down to two solutions - disable fast startup and change your graphics driver. Neither rly helped for me tho it did seem to be graphics card related.

Awaiting more expert suggestions from TPU !
