Windows 10: How to fix a mfc140u.dll error even after installation of 'Visual C++ Redistributor' from...

Hello, I have an mfc140u.dll error, installing sketchup. I have gone through the microsoft page and installed the 'Visual C++ Redistributor' However it is still not working on my laptop. I have made sure to instal the right version to my 64bit. Please could someone help me understand what to do in this instance? Is this fixable?

What Visual C error? How to fix it depends on the exact error.

Are you regularly Updating Windows, because if the installer for the game or app doesn't include the necessary .dll files, it should spur Windows Updates to install Visual C++ to install them. So immediately after installing the game/app, check for Updates - including Optional Updates - and expedite their install, go back and check until no new ones are offered. You can also contact the app or game's Support to ask for help getting the files or to install the proper Visual C++ to support the .dll files.
