    How to fix a microsoft update and allow it to install?


    My system is currently stuck using 50% of my HHD disk speed trying to install the: 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5034122 update. The update always stops at 20% installed before failing to install. My system states that it has failed to install this update 4 other times since 1/11/2024.List of failed installations:Failed to install on ‎1/‎15/‎2024 - 0x80073701Failed to install on ‎1/‎13/‎2024 - 0x80073701Failed to install on ‎1/‎12/‎2024 - 0x80073701Failed to install on ‎1/‎11/‎2024 - 0x80073701Is there a way to manually download the update to i

    Windows updates won't install!

    I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

    You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

    Insurgency wont install and run for me....

    I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
    I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

    I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

    First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

    Any ideas?

    Installing update after downloading it through Microsoft Update Catalog

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    There is no need to install update separately it will be automatically installed when you download the update, I suggest you to go to Control panel and check whether the update is installed are not.

    Follow the steps to check for Update.


    • Open Control Panel.

    • Select Programs and Features.

    • Click on View installed updates.

    • Check for the Update in the list.
