Windows 10: How to fix a windows 11 insider computer with BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO

It’s stuck on the same boot cycle everytime, just saying badsystemconfiginfo over and over. Ive tried some other ways to fix it, but maybe i did them wrong so all is welcome. Its an Acer Aspire 5 laptop.

Blue Screen error with Bad_System_Config_Info after an upgrade

However, please let us know:

• May I know the update that was installed on the computer recently?
  
• What is the complete model number of the computer that you are using?
  

The “Bad_System_Config_Info” error means that something is wrong with the registry on your PC and you'll need to return to a previous configuration. I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article

Error 0x74: Bad_system_config_info and see if that helps.



Note: The last step in the above article talks about performing a reset on the computer. Resetting the computer will delete all the files and applications from the computer. Do not perform reset on your computer.

1. Are you able to go to desktop?

2. What is the make and model of your computer?

3. Did you make any changes to your computer prior to this issue?

Bug check BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO can occur if some critical registry keys and values are missing. The keys and values might be missing if a user manually edited the registry.


A blue screen error (also called a stop error) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. As an initial troubleshooting steps I suggest you to unplug all hardware apart from keyboard and mouse and restart your computer and
check if that helps.

If you are able to go to desktop refer the section Blue screen error that lets you get to the desktop in the link below and also perform the troubleshooting steps suggested.

1) No, I said "I'm stuck" normal bout, safe boot all went to "bad_system_config_info"

2) Acer 5950g with Windows 7 upgraded to 10 for a while

3) I did nothing to the system or the registry

Is my bcdedit giving abnormal values?

Should I try?
