    How to fix and format DVD RW disc


    I'm on window 11 and my pc is fairly old but still running ok, i got a DVD RW disc to transfer some file so i put it in and let it format. The problem is that i accidently press the button and forcefully eject the disc mid its formatting. So now the computer says unable to format the disc. Anyidea to fix it?

    In order for us to properly address your issue with formatting a DVD-R/RW disc, we'd like to ask a few questions.

    • Are you getting any error messages when formatting a DVD-R/RW disc?If yes, what is the exact error message?
    • Have you tried formatting a DVD-R/RW disc to other DVD-R/RW drive?
    • Have you tried inserting other disc like DVD movies or mp3 disc to check if the DVD-R/RW drive is working?

    My DVD RW Drive E does not recognize a formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc that I am trying to burn.

    Any suggestions?

    format a dvd+rw disc

    I recently upgraded to windows 10 and when I try to format a dvd+rw disc, I get the message that Windows is unable to complete the format successfully. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong and possible solutions?
