Windows 10: How to fix audio distortion and muffling in VC voice calls and in game mics like Fortnite?

This problem is occurring on my laptop and my PC, both Windows 11. Whenever I join something like Discord or Fortnite Party VC it becomes muffled also occurs in Whatsapp. Is there a solution to it? It happens with any headphones I use.

Audio turns muffled when i join a voice call.

When im in a voice call, (google meet (web), whatsapp, etc) my audio turns muffled. I can still somewhat hear voices clearly, but at lower quality and there is a significant difference of the voice audio quality when im not in the voice call vs in the voice call. As for music, sound effects etc i totally cannot hear them, or they sound really soft and muffled. Somehow, this issue does not occur when im using the Discord app, but occurs when i use Discord web call, whatsapp app call, google meet call, zoom web and app.

 

Muffled or muted sound when in call

Whenever I start a call, be it in Skype, Zoom, Discord or Teams, the sound coming from other apps distorts and sometimes it outright mutes. Its been an issue primarily when gaming, but it occurs even with apps like Spotify. When playing, for example, Genshin Impact, the sounds of the environment or the skill effects are muted or muffled, but certain voice sounds come through fine. When playing Valorant I barely hear anything at all and when I play music in Spotify or play a Youtube video only certain sounds come through while most are muted or muffled. As soon as I close the call it comes back to normal and everything sounds good. This happens with both headphones and with speakers and it sometimes stops when I change a configuration. For example, when on a Zoom call I turned on the mono audio setting and for a second I could hear Spotify clearly, but then the audio from the zoom call got distorted and as I open the Zoom app it tells me that there's no output recognized. After I fix it or just wait a couple of seconds the Zoom audio returns to normal and the Spotify audio returns to being distorted.

My audio is muffled when I am on a VC (Voice Call) and I dont know how to fix it. (Windows 11)

My mic is perfect, it doesn't have issues but when I am on calls, my audio turns to **** and I can't fix it, I tried going to my settings and going to audio to fix it and I don't know how, I've had this laptop since July 4th 2022, and the voice calls on it sound like ****, The audio is bad, when the person is talking its bad, and I have no idea how to fix it. If somebody is here to tell me how to fix it, I would be very thankful of them, and no, I am not wearing headphones/earbuds, it's the audio in general when I'm in calls, but when the audio is off the calls, ITS FINE, it only acts up on calls.
