Windows 10: how to fix Code: 0x80070057 on microsoft store

ive had this problem for a while and i cant get it to fix, ive used countless articals and tried a variety of stuff such as - using wsreset, making sure my time and date is correct, using command prompt in administrator and doing codes like- PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = Get-AppxPackage *WindowsStore*.InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"- which didnt work and it came up with a load of red writing, ive used troubleshooter on the store and got nothing, ive gone into the microsoft store in s

fix Error code 0x80070057, net framework v3.5

My new computer is Windows 11 home, v22H2, x64-based processor

Hi, I went to load NavDesk_v7_50_0112_SP.exe to my new computer and I was told I needed “Microsoft .Net Framework version 3.5”



When I tried to install it I was told that it couldn't be installed, "The parameter is incorrect" and “error code: 0x80070057”.

1. I tried returning to the very first System Restore point, but that did not work.
   
2. I have tried Windows Club FixWin11 -System fixes – Windows update error: 0x800070057
   

Steps 1 & 2 read “0” as shown.

With step 3. Rename "%SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution" to "SoftwareDistribution.bck"

I cannot find the location to rename.



Any help to fix the error code would be most appreciated.

Windows Update gives error code 0x80070057

Try a clean startup:

Launch System Configuratiion (msconfig)

on the Services tab:

Hide all Microsoft servicesPress the [Disable all] button

on the Startup tab: Press Open Task Manager
Disable all items listed
Close Task Manager
Press [Ok] on the System Configuration window

Restart your machine
Try a manual Windows Update from Settings -> Update and Recovery (not Control Panel)

The issue might be HW related.

A few other suggested fixes were to run wsreset

This might have more affect (works on Win10, not just Win8.x)
Store - Re-register in Windows 8 and 8.1

Try all three and test an update.
