    How to fix COM number conflicts


    When we install the clean win10 system and enter win10 for the first time, windows assigns a COM number is conflicts with the standard serial port from LPC IO chip.

    When we install the clean win10 system and enter win10 for the first time, windows will load USB Serial Device driver first and assigns COM3, then windows load driver of LPC IO and assigns fixed COM1~COM5 for 5 COMs from BIOS configuration. So COM3 will conflicts with USB Serial Device(COM3). The COM number can be modified manually, but this cannot meet our requirements, we need the default serial port number allocation is normal.


    So can you give me any advice or solutions??Thanks

    Programs not working


    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

    OneNote "Sync Conflicts"

    Hi Tom,



    Sync conflicts error shown in OneNote can be resolved by using OneNote desktop client. To stop seeing this error, can you follow the below steps:

    • Open the page which is having conflicts in OneNote desktop client or in Internet explorer
    • Open the page in which this error is shown
    • On the top of the page there will be a text bar shown. Pressing on the text bar will show conflicting pages for this page.
    • Delete the conflicting page by selecting the page and right clicking on it.
    • Sync the changes from desktop to server
    • After the above steps, open the page in Mobile and tap on "refresh" to get the changes made on the server.
    After step 6 is done, sync conflicting error message should be stopped from prompting.

    How to fix COM number conflicts

    Trouble saving voicemail number

    To access my voicemail it is my phone number, a pause and 4 digit pin.



    I did the following steps:

    • Turned off default voicemail number
    • Added a , (for pause) at end of my phone number
    • Added the 4 digit pin
    I get the following error message We're having trouble saving your voicemail number right now. Try again later.



    Any suggestions on how to correct this?
