Windows 10: How to fix computer completly freezing when opening an app roblox in this case

This started about a month ago when my ThinkPad would freeze completely no access when I opened Roblox, it was about half of the time but now it's all the time. I've tried doing malware, DISM, SFC, and even reinstalling windows: didn't work. I'm on a Windows 10 with a thinkpad Intel i7 core. It's around 3–4 years old.Something interesting I found is when I ran Roblox on an emulatorlag as hell it would work but not from the Windows shop or the downloadable version.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I fix my Roblox Freezing?

Here are some possible solutions to fix Roblox freezing on your new monitor and PC:

1. Update your graphics drivers: Outdated graphics drivers can cause games to freeze. To update your graphics drivers, go to the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) and download the latest drivers for your model.

2. Change your Roblox graphics settings: Try lowering your graphics settings in Roblox. This can help to improve performance and reduce the likelihood of freezing.

3. Disable Fullscreen optimizations: Fullscreen optimizations can sometimes cause games to freeze. To disable Fullscreen optimizations for Roblox, follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Roblox shortcut on your desktop.
  
• Select “Properties”.
  
• Click on the “Compatibility” tab.
  
• Check the box next to “Disable Fullscreen optimizations”.
  
• Click “Apply” and then “OK”.
  

4. Verify the integrity of your Roblox game files: Corrupted game files can cause Roblox to freeze. To verify the integrity of your Roblox game files, follow these steps:

• Open the Roblox launcher.
  
• Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner.

Microsoft Roblox App Freezing - Windows 11. MS CONTACT ROBLOX TO FIX THEIR APP

Ive been using MS Roblox app for years. Over the last few months I suspect Roblox update is causing alot of issues with Freezing and crashing going from all the issues that have been raised on MS forums over the last 3 or 4 months. I am at 40 useless responses from Roblox. Latest idiotic suggestion was in bold. Normal font is my response .

• Is any third party program installed ? Of course not. The App is from Microsoft store. I already established that.
  
• Whether VPN is disabled or not ? VPN is not disabled, I already sent pic of that. The MS app is working. The issue is, keeps crashing.Never had issues with MS app for years. ONly recent. Your sending me random responses.
  

Below is a list of all the things I have done to try and correct it. Nothing is working.

MS forums has so many posts on this issue that whoever is monitoring this forums hasn't noticed the amount of issues regarding Roblox which has generated a huge amount of bug report posts. No fixes. Not a user issue. Roblox is deliberately prolonging support more then necessary. All I want is to be able to use MS Roblox app again.

What is MS support going to do now. You can see the suggestions given by you guys isn't working.

* What web browser are using (Firefox, Chrome, MS Edge, etc.)?We use chrome no issue, issue is when we use microsoft store roblox. There is nothing wrong with browser version. We use split window/mouse so have to have microsoft store roblox app version open and browser. Been good for years. We even tried to just use microsoft app store version on its own, still the same issue. Started about a month ago.



Some Common Symptoms

Endless Install Loop – player is directed to install Roblox, even after they have done so

What to Do



Please try each step below, one at a time, in order. If one solution doesn't work, move on to the next!



Reboot



First reboot your computer and try to play. Sometimes this may be all that is needed to solve Roblox or Roblox Studio related problems.



Clear your Temporary Internet Files



An important step in any uninstall or reinstall process is to clear your browser's temporary internet files. This will help with any corruption issues that might have arisen. Check your Firewall



A lot of antivirus or internet security software tries to control which programs can access the internet. Often, these programs err on the side of caution and by default no program is allowed access. For assistance with looking into this and allowing Roblox through any blockages, click here.



Reinstall Roblox

ll Roblox files in the AppData directory are removed. To do this:



Uninstall Roblox from your computer

Open the Command Prompt. You can open it by pressing Win+R > Type ""CMD"" > Press Enter.



Type in the following commands:



cd AppData\Local (then press enter)

rmdir /s Roblox (then press enter)

Enter ""y"" when asked to answer (then press enter)

Restart your computer

Reinstall Roblox

If you are using a PC

* What version of Windows OS are you using? (Type "info" in the search box on your taskbar, and then select System Information)

* What web browser are using (Firefox, Chrome, MS Edge, etc.)?





Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Roblox > Advanced Options and choose Reset. After it resets restart the PC and try again.



If that fails go into Microsoft Store app Settings (three dots at the top right of the page) to choose Updates, apply any Roblox Updates, and restart the PC.



If that fails then in Apps & Features uninstall Roblox, restart the PC then go into the Store Settings > My Library to reinstall it.





also, run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Windows Key+X > Click Settings > Click Update & Security> Click Troubleshoot > Scroll down to the bottom > Click Windows Store Apps > Click Run the Troubleshooter



If nothing works, reset the Microsoft Store through Command Prompt

Type cmd in Windows Search box > Right click on Command Prompt > Run As Administrator > Type WSreset.exe and click Enter > Reboot your computer

1) Uninstall & Reinstall Store

Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right-click in Powershell to paste > Enter



Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage



Copy the following from below and right-click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Reboot your computer



Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}



2) Reset Windows Update components

1-Right-Click on Start then click on Windows Terminal(admin)

2-Type these commands:

net stop wuauserv (and press Enter)

net stop cryptSvc (and press Enter)

net stop bits (and press Enter)

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old (and press Enter)

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old (and press Enter)

net start wuauserv (and press Enter)

net start cryptSvc (and press Enter)

net start bits (and press Enter)

netsh winsock reset (and press Enter)

3-Reboot your PC





3) Check if doesn't have any corrupt files on the windows.

1-Right-Click on Start then click on Windows Terminal (admin)

2- Type these commands.

sfc /scannow (and press Enter)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth (and press Enter)

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth (and press Enter)



3- The DISM tool will report whether the image is healthy, repairable, or non-repairable. If the image is repairable, you can use the /RestoreHealth argument to repair the image.

4-Type this command and press Enter:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth





4) Perform an In-place Upgrade, by performing an in-place upgrade, you will clean up the system which may help resolve some troubles with the system. (It is NOT an update)

This will not affect your files and programs, everything will be the same after the procedure



The purpose of this procedure is to clean all the corrupted files and replace them with fresh new ones from an ISO file so as I said it will not affect your files and programs.



------------------------------------------------



Go into Microsoft Store app Settings (three dots at the top right of the page) to choose Updates, apply any Roblox Updates, and restart the PC.



If that fails then in Apps & Features uninstall Roblox, restart the PC then go into the Store Settings > My Library to reinstall it.



1. If you are able to open MS Store, open MS Store > Click on your profile picture on the top right and sign out. Then sign in again.



2. Try to reset the app

Windows Key+i > Apps > Scroll down to this App > Click this App > Advanced options > Reset



3. Windows Key+i > Apps > Scroll down to this App > Click this App > Uninstall. Reinstall from Microsoft Store



4. Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Windows Key+X > Click Settings > Click Update & Security> Click Troubleshoot > Scroll down to the bottom > Click Windows Store Apps > Click Run the Troubleshooter



5. Reset Microsoft Store through Command Prompt

Type cmd in Windows Search box > Right click on Command Prompt > Run As Administrator > Type WSreset.exe and click Enter > Reboot your computer



6. Re-register All Store apps (You will get many Reds, ignore them)

Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right-click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Restart your computer



Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}



7. Uninstall & Reinstall Store

Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right-click in Powershell to paste > Enter



Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage



Copy the following from below and right-click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Reboot your computer



Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Perform Clean Boot



Search for Task Manager and open it



Click More details



Move to Startup tab



Click on Disable



Do this on all the startup applications on the list



Close task manager



Search for the command below



msconfig

Under the System Configuration Window go to Services



Check Hide all Microsoft Services on the left side



Once all Microsoft Services are hidden click on disable all on the right side



Click on OK then Restart

 

Laptop keeps restarting or freezing when I open roblox. Anyone have that issue?
