Windows 10: How to fix computer with seems like shift automatically pressed even without keyboard pluged

Hello, I want to know how to fix my computer issue. it seems like the shift key in my computer is automatically pressed because I cant use my chrome and type properly, I even try to unplug my keyboard and use only the keyboard on my computer but still the same. even Im using the keypad on computer I cant still use the numbers, dot, comma etc. The letters are always CAPS when you start to type something, every time I click or open another site it opens on a new tab and also my mouse scroll wheel is not working on chrome or any sites but only working on settings if you scroll it there. Shift button shutting down computer

You're welcome. I guess.. try that same method: 1) Unplug your Keyboard Wire from the Tower 2) Press, and hold down, that Shift button 3) While holding down the Shift button, with your other hand, plug the Wire back into the Tower, and let go of Shift afterwards. 4) Press Shift Hopefully it got fixed? If not, my suggestion is: 1) Search for, and open, Device Manager 2) In the Keyboards section, right click and uninstall every entry there. In my example, there's 2. (If asked to delete all driver files, say yes)

3) Unplug your Keyboard from the Tower 4) Plug it back in. Wait a few moments for Windows to reinstall the drivers... 5) Open an internet window and try typing stuff to see if the keyboard is all set up. 6) When typing letters works, Press Shift

 

Both shift keys

Hello.
I have problem with Lenovo Idea Pad 100 laptop (OS: WIN10). After replacing HDD into SSD I faced a strange problem. Both Shifts of the keyboard doesn‘t work .
I have tried to:

• Check if sticky keys are off. They are off.
• Connect external keyboard via USB port. Shift keys on external keyboard works good.
• Check the keyboard on online tester which indicates pressed buttons. It can‘t indicate press of the shift
• Change several different input languages. The problem is on all of them.
• Reinstall keyboard driver
• Check if connection is OK. It is OK.
• Tried to run computer without screws (I have read in one forum that screws could touch the keyboard from the bottom and it wouldn‘t operate normal)

I believe that keyboard is not damaged because connector damage could cause just exact part of keyboard failure, while it is impossible to do physical damage for both shifts. Any solutions?

 

Keyboard: some Shift- combinations do not work from time to time

When using SHIFT to type !, @, #, $, ( or ) they sometimes do not work. A while later, they may work for a short time. Sometimes the problem does not show up for days. Steps taken so far:

• The device manager shows no issues.
  
• Test programs found nothing or suggest it may be a hardware error.
  
• When using on-screen keyboards, there is no issue.
  
• The keyboard drivers have been de-installed and automatically re-installed
  
• The latest drivers are installed
  
• Have removed and re-selected the language keyboards
