Windows 10- Error code 0xc00000225, system freezes at the screen and nothing happens after clicking ESC, enter or F8

Please reply to the questions mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way.

• Is the error code 0xc00000225 or 0xc0000225?
• Did you make any changes prior to the issue?

Boot from a Windows Recovery Media and then use the command prompt and then check if it helps.

Trouble Shoot -> Advanced Options -> Command Prompt

bootrec /scanos

bootrec /rebuildbcd

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

Please revert if you face any issues with system freezes.

No new BIOS update for my Dell OptiPlex 9020?

The Dell BIOSConnect feature is a Dell preboot solution that is used to update system BIOS and recover the operating system (OS) using the SupportAssist OS Recovery on Dell Client platforms. Note: BIOSConnect requires a physically present user to initiate this feature. Only a subset of platforms with the BIOSConnect feature is affected. See the table under Additional Information section below for impacted platforms.
The Dell HTTPS Boot feature is an extension to UEFI HTTP Boot specifications to boot from an HTTP(S) Server. Note: This feature is not configured by default and requires a physically present user with local OS admin rights to configure. Additionally, a physically present user is required to initiate the feature when used with wireless networks. Not all platforms contain the HTTPS Boot feature. See the table under the Additional Information section below for a list of impacted platforms.
Presumably, your Optiplex 9020 lacks the feature that causes the vulnerability. Even if it is present, it isn't turned on by default in the BIOS settings.

Doesn't look like a big deal to me. If you're worried, I suggest that you contact Dell support. (If you can do that without having to pay for the privilege.)

 

Dell Vostro to Dell 9020

Hi.I am going from a Dell Vostro to a Dell 9050. I am running Windows 10 Pro (OEM) and want to directly fit the SSD from the Vostro into the 9020 including the OS. Can anyone advise on this please. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have purchased a new license number. Many thanks. Graham
