  1. How to fix different volume balance on Windows?

    I have a motherboard MSI B450-A and HD Audio codec Realtek ALC892. I need to make the volume louder on one of the two speakers, and quieter on the other when i working with Windows 11. I do this in the settings of sound devices, press properties - levels - balance. I make the volume on one speaker less than on the other and everything works fine but only until I completely lower the volume slider, and after that, if I raise the volume back, the balance becomes equal. Balance in Volume Mixer.

    When using several programs that deal with audio i want to have audio from certain programs coming from different sides of my headphones. this should be able to be done with balance but currently there is only balance slider for the entire device. Is there
    any way to get Balance sliders added to the Volume Mixer so different programs audio can be put to different sides?

    tl;dr

    How do i get Balance sliders on the Volume Mixer

  3. Audio Balance in Windows 10

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check-

    • Click on Start and then control panel.
    • Open the option of Sound and in the tab of
      playback
      click on the windows displaying speakers. This enables the button properties, click on it.
    • This opens new window as Speakers properties, here click on the tab
      Levels.
    • Now click on the button Balance in front of the speaker volume bar.
    • This will open another small window of Balance. Here you may adjust the balance between the left and right speakers as per requirement.
    Hope this helps. Let us know the results.

    How to fix different volume balance on Windows?

    Audio Balance Bug - Balance changes when changing volume

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I understand that Balance changes when changing the volume,
    we reproduced the issue and found the same result.

    The balance slider will move according to the volume level. If you set a different balance and then try to change the volume, both the slider will move accordingly.

    Are you seeing any change in the balance when you change the volume? Does only one slider move or both the slider move?

    You can adjust the output left/right balance for your devices individually as follows:

    1. Right-click on the speaker icon in the tray (bottom right of screen) and choose "Playback devices";

    2. Right-click on the device you're using (that you want to adjust) and choose "Properties";

    3. Click on the "Levels" tab;

    4. At the right of the "Speakers/Headphones" area where you can adjust the volume, click on "Balance"; and

    5. Adjust the left (L) and right (R) balance sliders as you like.

    When you increase or decrease the volume the levels on both the balance should move respectively. If that is not the case please provide more information to assist you in a better way.

    Please provide me the Screenshot so we can assist on this issue.
