    Hello All,

    I have been updating the windows 8.1 to 10 from yesterday but each time i get stuck at preparing to install option with error code 80070057.

    Please help me to fix this issue.

    Windows Update Anniversary

    Hi,

    I have updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and now wanting to update Windows to the latest version Anniversary.

    The update progressed through the downloading and verifying stages but has refused to progress beyond the 2% stage of installation with an error message 80070057.

    80070057 - Is a windows 7 issue.

    Any clues on how to resolve this issue

    Error Code 80070057 When Trying to Update Windows 8.1 to Windows 10

    I've repeatedly tried updating Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 without success. Each time, I receive the error code 80070057. I've tried fixing the corruption errors by using the DISM.exe tool as provided on the Microsoft Support website by typing into the Command
    Prompt "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" but this has proven ineffective. How can I resolve this issue?
