Windows 10: How to fix errors with wireless adapter?

Randomly a while ago my computer started having issues with connecting to the wifi, every time I tried to connect it would say "Unable to connect". I used to be able to reset the wireless adapter to make it work again temporarily before it stopped again but now that won't even work. Now I must restart my computer every time this happens and I haven't been able to find anything to help me. Now when I try to reset my wireless adapter the wireless apapter disappears entirely. What can I do?

Method 1:

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Same exact issue here with 2 adapters. Both worked well for a long time, then suddenly could not connect to either one. Adapter shows up on TV and my Microsoft Surface Pro3. Message on Surface is "connecting." Message on TV is "connecting to Bill's device."
Then, "unable to connect." Tried connecting two adapters connected to two TVs using three Surface Pro devices. Same result.
