Windows 10: How to fix ethernet cable not being detected on laptop

How to fix ethernet cable not being detected on my laptop windows 10the cable is working well and I tested it on another device. I tried updating my drivers and all up to date and still ethernet cable not working on laptop.

• What is the model number of your laptop?
  
• Do you have a yellow exclamation on the network icon after connecting the cat 7 cable?
  

However, you can follow the troubleshooting steps from

Also, I suggest you to check the laptop manual or laptop manufacturer to know whether the Ethernet port of your laptop supports cat 7 cable.

Ethernet cable is not detected in Windows 8.1

Hello All,

I have Windows 8.1 installed on my desktop and ever since i installed, Ethernet cable is not being detected. Rarely, when i turn on my desktop, it gets detected but then if for some reason i restart, it goes off. It would be great if someone could help me
resolve this issue.

Please note, my Ethernet cable is good, I tried it with my laptop and it works. Kindly let me know for any information you require.

I also tried to troubleshoot the issue and the message pops up every time "A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken"
