Windows 10: How to fix File Explorer displaying incorrect icon for images?

I am currently experiencing an issue where some images stored both on my PC's internal hard drive and an external hard drive display incorrect icons. When the images which can be .png, .jpg. or .gif are opened they open the correct image in the Photos app but the icon continues to display incorrectly. Details inside the file are correct, and the file name displays correctly.I had at one point figured out how to fix this, but have since forgotten. Running Windows 10 Pro, and this is the second time the issue has cropped up over a period of a couple of years.

Icon indentation (Tiles or Content) in Window Explorer is too large. How to restore to default?

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?
