Windows 10: How to fix folder sorting issue in Windows 8.1

HeyI have an issue with my folders sorting from yesterday, and I don't know how to fit it.The problem is that when I sort things in "This PC, " the same sorting automatically applies to my D partition. and when I correct it in partition-D, it changes back to "This PC" the same sorting I just applied to D"This PC" setting I want to keep:View > TilesSort by > Name AscendingGroup by > Type Ascending"D:" setting I want to keepView > Large IconsSort by > Name AscendingGroup by > None

Weird same batch of steps I have. Mine however was fixing the issue for windows 8 users *Laugh :laugh:

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor & I'm here to assist you with the issue of sorting. Please follow the below to fix the issue.

Step 1:

On your desktop, click the Windows Explorer icon to launch it or press Windows key + E.

Navigate to any folder of your choice whose files you want to degroup.

Click “View” at the top left to access the View tab.

In the View tab in the Current View group, click the Group By dropdown arrow to reveal a list of selectable attributes.

Select “None” from the list.

Step 2:

Click on View in Explorer ribbon > Options > Change folder and search options to bring up the Folder Options properties.

Step 3:

Switch to the View tab.

Step 4:

Click Apply to Folders button, followed by Yes.

Step 5:

Click Apply > OK.

Let me know the status after performing the above.
