Windows 10: How to fix/format Sandisk Cruzer Blade that malfunctioned and is now write protected?

Hey guys!


So I have a 16 GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade, during use it malfunctioned and at one point it couldn't be read properly by my computer; it had a different name and it only had 64 MB of space detected when I tried to format it. Now I can open it again but my computer recognizes that it needs to be repaired. However, whenever I try to repair it or even just format it, I am prompted that it is write protected. I have tried using both the CMD as administrator and EaseUS tools to remove the write protection, both appear to be successful but I am still unable to delete files, format, or repair the flash drive. Additionally, I used a program called SecureAccess that was preinstalled into the flash drive which I assume is the reason it is now write protected. Do you guys have any idea how I can fix my flash drive or is it already a lost cause?

Remove write protect from Sandisk Cruzer blade 16 GB?

1 Month Old Sandisk Cruzer Blade 16 GB. Became write protect while trying to copy 13 GB data from a friend's computer using Windows 7. Suddenly transfer stopped because of write protect. Did scan for malicious viruses in my computer running on Windows 10. Windows Defender finds worms and Trojan win32 and destroys it. But its back. Not able to format the usb because of write protect. Did
1. Quick format
2. in regedit added value of WriteProtect in StorageDevicePolicies to 0
3. There is no way for gpedit.msc since my system is running on Windows 10 Home edition
3. In disk part, able to make attributes as readonly but not able to clean because of write protect
4. in Disk management no option to format at all
5. Tried using third party softwares like usbfixer, HDD low level format tool and HD Tune
Nothing worked because of write protect.

I am having a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8 GB Pen Drive. It worked nicely for 2 years and then it suddenly shows the error message when I try to format the drive: The disk is Write Protected. I tries several ways:

• Registry editor (StorageDevicePolicies)
• Command Prompt
• Different tools etc.

I couldn't remove the write protection. Please help me on this topic.

SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB not booting

hi, I tried to upgrade my Windows 10 os from 32bit to 64bit as I had x64 based processor but i tried doing that and it was working but it required a format so i switched on to windows 10 and got a backup of all my files then shutted down my computer and
tried to boot my pc with the cruzer blade but instead of booting the setup it booted the windows 10.

Please help
