Windows 10: how to fix greyed out USB flash drive

hello,i formatted a flash drive to work with xbox storage using an application called xboxmediaUSB after failing to use it correctly i scrapped the idea and tried reformatting the device back for windows use, i got an error saying that the usb was malfunctioning but i couldn't use the error checking tool because it said the driver was currently in use. so i deleted the driver from device manager and reinstalled it and that is when it seems to have bricked entirely :/1- cant open it error is please insert a disk into usb drive2- cmd cant access it directly with chkdisk3- cmd diskpart also say

To find what Navy suggest:: Open a CMD window as administrator and type: diskpart list disk (it will list all drives. Identify the USB drive number) select disk n (replace n by the USB drive number obtained with list disk) list part (is there more than one partition?) select part 1 detail part (is it ntfs or Fat32?) exit

Check if there is any slide switch on the side that provides write protection. It show's a closed and open lock on each side. We suggest to follow these steps below:

• Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port.
• Click Start, type devmgmt.msc in the Search textbox and press Enter.
• Find Disk Drives and expand it.
• Find the USB flash drive you want to format, and double-click it. It opens the
  Properties dialog box.
• Click Policies tab.
• By default, the Optimize for quick removal option selected, switch it to Optimize for performance and then press
  OK.
• Now open Computer. Right click on the USB Flash Drive and select Format. The Format dialog box now appears.
• Select NTFS in the File System field.
• Press Start and wait while the process will be completed.

You can also connect the USB drive on a different computer and try formatting.
