Windows 10: How to fix halo scanner mouse app not opening.

I have an old halo scanner mouse and when I installed the software on my pc windows 11 it said The procedure entry point FinishOVDXDriver could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program File's x86/scanner mouse/OVBaself.dll. But when I installed the same app on windows 10 it worked. Can someone tell me how to fix this. Thanks!

Scanner Mouse not working

Thank you for this information I downloaded the suggested updated software but did not do steps 2-4 .... I a basic computer user and am not sure how or where to find these steps on my computer.

The new update makes it so my mouse part works but not the scanner part any basic advice or a step by step on how to do the rest?

 

Scanner mouse won't work

My Halo scanner mouse which has worked perfectly from Windows 7 through windows 8 and 8.1 to Windows 10 now wont scan since the anniversary update. As a mouse it continues to work fine. I have checked the drivers
and reinstalled the scanner mouse program to no avail. Is this because Windows 10 now sees it as a USB camera and like the USB webcams that no longer function awaits a fix from Microsoft? Thanks C

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
