Windows 10: How to fix High Definition Audio Controller Error

Hello, for around a day or so my audio has been giving me bugs, after going into device manager i looked and seen an error within the controller. This device cannot start. Code 10 Ive been looking around the site trying to find a fix even downloading audio drivers, reinstalling them, and doing a system restore but nothing seemed to work. Is there any other way to find a fix to this?

I suggest you to update the driver and check if the issue persist.

Follow the steps to Update the driver and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X key and click
  Device Manager.
• Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.
• Select the Driver tab.
• Click on Update Driver.
• Select the option “browse my computer for driver software”.
• Select the option “let me pick up a list of device drivers on my computer”.
• Select the High Definition Audio Device instead of IDT High Definition" And click next.

High Definition Audio Controller Broken

Hi, according to my device manager the high definition audio controller is not working, and as a result my audio is currently not working. In trying to fix this issue, I've attempted the various suggestions offered within the other threads regarding this
specific issue, yet nothing appears to be working. Even reinstalling the driver just appears to reinstall the same corrupt driver. Wondering if there are any possible solutions.

On top of this, my computer has been experiencing freezing as of recent; would this driver issue be causing this?

High Definition Audio Controller BROKEN no sounds


My playback on my computer doesn't seem to detect my speakers or my headphones although it detects microphone inputs:



I checked on my Device Manager and found this:

I don't know if it's normal for the "High Definition Audio Controller" to be under the "System Devices" dropdown. Still, there are two High Definition Audio Controller hardware and the other one is with a warning sign. And If I open this

, this is what It says:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)" I don't know the meaning of the code but I've been searching for forums regarding this code and still does not fix my problem. I tried uninstalling the High Definition Audio Controller and reinstalling it with a driver I downloaded from Intel website. After installing it, it's still the same.
