Windows 10: How to fix highlighting text for copy in Windows 10?

Hi! I am Saba Sami. I have come up with a big issue that is irritating me. I am highlighting the text for copying from a website but is not working. How to fix it? Guide me step by step, My Laptop Company is HP. I need your help and provide a video because I cannot understand without a video. Same issue is with MS Word 16. Text is not highlighting.

I'm writing a book and need to do quite a lot of copy and paste !!!

I have tried one suggestion seen in Community - cAdd new user - so I did and rebooted and logged in as new user and copy and paste worked with full page of text !!!

Method: Highlighting and copy with mouse.

1. Click on the Windows logo
   
2. Go to Settings
   
3. Open the mouse & touchpad setting
   
4. Turn off Scroll inactive windows
   
5. Click on Advanced Mouse Options
   
6. Adjust double click speed – (turning this setting down will help)

Problem with highlighting text to cut or copy in Word

Microsoft Word, Windows 8. I often copy and paste things within a document. My problem is that after I block the text (highlight it) and right click to copy the text the highlighting goes away. It takes about three tries before it stays highlighted so
that I can copy or cut the text. It's frustrating and means that everything takes longer. It didn't used to do this. I'm not sure what has changed
