Windows 10: How to fix hp pavilion laptop wifi virtual adaptor code 45

For a few weeks now my hp pavilion laptop wont recognise any avaliable wifi networks. I have reset wifi settings to no avail. When i open my device manager it tells me that my microsoft wifi direct virtual adapter is not connected due to code 45It keeps requesting i connect my ethernet cable, but i have nevee before used one and have been able to connect to wifi for years on this laptop. Please help me :

Its a Virgin media superhub I got,And no other devices in household had ever problems with connection,only that new laptop(I did buy wifi adapter,because I couldnt solve the problem myself and it works perfect.

Couple of things.

First, I'm almost positive that model of laptop was part of the big HP recall. The cooling was sub-par and the chipset had the problem with the solder failing due to heat.

Second, the WIFI starting to fail was an early sign that the laptop was close to dying.

It may be silly of me but try the next few things :

• See if ram stick are properly seated
• Try to check did you seated your cpu properly
• See if all of the cables lie down ok in their slots
• Check for excesive paste on the CPU socket
• Try a hard reset of laptop by removing the cmos battery out for 15 minutes
• Remove your HDD and try to start the laptop

I hope this will help you a bit. Had a HP Pavilion on a maintenance check a while ago and either you believe it or not he didn't want to start because of a bad hard drive and gave me signal that the CPU was faulty.
