    How to fix if i cant hold any buttons down for so long on my peripherals?


    Please help and dont lock thread immediately.I'm using the HP victus 16. So I basically cannot hold any buttons down on my laptop keyboard, external keyboard and mouse any peripherals connected. I can only hold down a button by itself, and if I try to click another key on my keyboard while holding down one key, it immediately stops. I have a video of recording of my switch hitter recording what input I am clicking on my keyboard, I'll attach the video recording below.This happened when I started using my hair dryer near my setup. Yes, I know it is a very odd reason but hear me out, whenever

    PC doesn't power down after holding power button for 4 seconds

    The power button on a PC is temporary push switch. It makes contact as long as you hold the button down. Quick press and release triggers a smart relay on the MB to turn on or off, depending on default or OS state, such as cold on, sleep on, turn off, sleep off, etc. Holding the button down for a long time is a default hardware power kill switch. If it's not working, suspect the MB. Reset the BIOS is a good suggestion, but prolly won't work.

    Lenovo laptop not booting after upgraded to Windows​10

    Follow these steps to attempt to power reset the laptop:

    • Turn off the laptop.
    • Disconnect all peripheral devices that are plugged into the laptop.
    • Unplug the AC adapter.
    • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.

    You may need to do the steps repeteadly until you get the recovery options.

    I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

    • In which are you trying to use the long press on back button, is it Windows explorer or in any other application?
    In the Windows 10, after opening the Windows explorer and going
    inside the drive locations you can see “Arrows” near the
    address bar. There you can see a “Drop-Down arrow” which shows the previous locations
    which you went to.
