Windows 10: How to fix "iwr/irm : Unable to connect to the remote server error" in Powershell 5.1

Hello I am trying to install Scoop in my Windows 10 machine via following commands Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser # Optional: Needed to run a remote script the first time> irm get.scoop.sh iexI had already installed scoop ones, but I uninstalled it recently and now when, I am trying to install it againit gives me following error:irm : Unable to connect to the remote serverAt line:1 char:2+ irm get.scoop.sh iex+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: System.Net.HttpWebRequest:HttpWebRequest [Invoke-RestMethod], WebExce

Unable to activate IRM via WMDC for WM6.1 device.

I have a Windows Vista Enterprise machine with WMDC 6.1 to with which I have a partnership to my WM 6.1 Professional device. I am connected to the intranet via VPN. Despite being able to connect to the enterprise RM server
(I opened an IRM-protected email immediately before connecting the device), I am unable to activate IRM on the device. I receive a
"Information Rights Management activation cannot be completed at this time. Please try again later." message.



Doing a bit of research, I understand that the following conditions need to be met in order to activate IRM on the device:

-Device supports IRM

-Device is connected to the desktop

-Connected device has a partnership with the desktop

-IRM has been activated on the desktop

-IRM is not already activated on the device / needs renewal on the device



All of the conditions have been met. Additionally, I added config files in my \Windows\WindowsMobile directory for WMDC and WMDHost so that I could get some logs.



The only logged error message I can see is in the wmdc.log:

Unable to access server via remote desktop after router change

Hi,

I manage my home theatre and music servers via remote desktop. Both have wired connections to the router.

All has been well for many years.

Recently our old modem/router was replaced with a new one. There have been no other changes.

While I can still remote into the home theatre server I am no longer able to remote into the music server:

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer....

What I can do is:

• ping the music server
• bring up shares on the music server on another computer
• access the music server using TeamViewer

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can use remote desktop to manage my music server again please?
